EC 1.1.1.67 from Pseudomonas fluorescens. This recombinant enzyme has been expressed in E. coli and purified by affinity chromatography. Electrophoretically homogenous. In 3.2 M ammonium sulphate. Specific activity: 48.8 U/mg protein on D-mannitol (pH 8.6, 40°C). Low Km, suitable for D-mannitol determination. Contaminants: none detected. Stable at 4°C for > 4 years.
