DMEM(Dulbecco 改良 Eagle 培养基)是一种广泛使用的基础培养基,可用于支持很多种类的哺乳动物细胞生长。已经在 DMEM 中培养成功的细胞包括原代成纤维细胞、神经元、胶质细胞、HUVEC、平滑肌细胞,以及 HeLa、293、Cos-7 和 PC-12 等细胞系。本品为 DMEM 低糖培养基,更适合代谢作用较慢、依赖性贴壁细胞的培养。

注意事项
1. 培养基长期放置,需要 2-8℃避光保存,请勿低温冻存。
2. 使用时注意无菌操作。
3. 培养基中添加的 L-谷氨酰胺在溶液中不稳定、易分解,长期放置后使用若发现细胞生长变慢可在使用前加入适量的 L-谷氨酰胺,来维持细胞的正常代谢。

DMEM is unique from other media as it contains 4 times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins than the original Eagle's Minimal Essential Medium. DMEM was originally formulated with low glucose (1 g/L) and sodium pyruvate, but is often used with higher glucose levels, with or without sodium pyruvate.

cGMP Manufacturing and Quality System:

Gibco™ DMEM is manufactured at a cGMP compliant facility, located in Paisley, Scotland, UK. The facility is registered with the FDA as a medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard. For supply chain continuity, we offer a comparable Gibco™ DMEM product made in our Grand Island facility (11054-020). This facility is registered with the FDA as a medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standards.


DMEM contains no proteins, lipids, or growth factors. Therefore, DMEM requires supplementation, commonly with 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). DMEM uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (3.7 g/L) and therefore requires a 5-10% CO2 environment to maintain physiological pH.

This DMEM-Low glucose medium is a 1x complete medium with sodium pyruvate added. It also differs from the original DMEM-Hi formulation wherein pyridoxine is substituted for pyridoxal. Pyridoxal is an unstable component of media.

Application:

Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium-low glucose is a fully supplemented liquid form of the original Dulbecco′s formulation, with one key exception. Pyridoxal, which is an aldehyde, has been replaced with pyridoxine. This modification has been shown to improve the stability of the medium.

Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium – low glucose has been used in the maintenance/culturing of mammalian cells.
