Thiol PEG Biotin, HS-PEG-Biotin
|
Synonym: Thiol PEG Biotin, Biotin-PEG-SH, HS-PEG-Biotin, Biotin PEG600 Thiol
Description:
Biotin PEG Thiol (Biotin-PEG-SH) is one of Nanocs’ thiolated biotin polyethylene glycol derivatives that have a free thiol group on the one end of PEG chain and a biotin molecule on the other PEG terminus. Biotin is a bioactive small molecule that has high affinity to avidin or streptavidin. Thiol or sulfhydryl group reacts readily with many thiol reactive groups, such as maleimide, haloacetyl or pyridyldisulfide. It can also bind to gold and other noble metal surfaces with high affinity. Reactions between thiol and other groups thus allow the conjugation of biotin to proteins, antibodies, peptides, particles and other materials surfaces quickly and specifically. PEG linker between biotin and thiol groups offers better water solubility, flexible linkage structure and enhanced stability.
