Laminarin, Biotin conjugate
|
Synonym: Biotinylated laminarin, Biotin modified laminarin, Laminarin Biotin conjugate.
Description:
Biotin modified laminarin is one of Nanocs polysaccharide derivatives that have biotin molecule covalently attached to the laminarin backbone. Biotin is a small molecule with high binding affinity toward avidin, streptavidin or neutravidin. Biotinylated laminarin conjugate can be easily detected by avidin or streptavidin detecting reagent. Laminarin, also known as laminaran, is a water soluble polysaccharide of glucose found in brown algae and utilized as a food reserve. Laminarin contains 1,3-linked-beta-d-glucose residues with different degrees of 6-Obranching and beta-(1,6) intrachain links.
Nanocs provides a number of modified laminarin conjugates that can be used for enzymatic activity study and other biomedical research use.
