EC 3.2.1.89 CAZY Family: GH53 Recombinant. Native full-length Gal53 from Clostridium thermocellum containing a catalytic domain and two C-terminal dockerins. In 3.2 M ammonium sulphate. Specific activity: ~ 15 U/mg (40oC, pH 4.5 on potato galactan); ~ 30 U/mg (60oC, pH 4.5 on potato galactan) Action on other substrates: CM-cellulose 4M < 0.003 %; Debranched arabinan < 0.03 %; Polygalacturonic acid < 0.004 %; Wheat arabinoxylan < 0.02 %; p-NP-β-D-galactopyranoside < 0.001 %; p-NP-α-L-arabinofuranoside < 0.002 % Stability: > 2 years at 4oC
